SF-5 stream finishing machine

The SF stream finishing machine (also referred to as an immersion polishing unit) is a completely new concept which features short processing times, easy automation and excellent reliability as well as providing a first-class mirror finish even inside the flutes. It is also called spindle finishing machine.

  • Shorter processing times for edge rounding and polishing
  • Gives a perfect polish, even inside the chip flute
  • Workpieces can be changed whilst the process is running
  • Can process workpieces of up to 400 mm in length and up to 20 kg in weight (including holder)
  • Number and design of workpiece holders can be customised to suit requirements

Holders:

  • Workpieces clamped by means of a 3-jaw gripper (Chucking capacity 12 mm)
  • Three-jaw chuck
  • Collet chuck

Typical applications

Can easily be linked to a robot cell to provide fully automatic edge rounding and mirror finish polishing of carbide tools
