As a manufacturer of Mass Finishing and Electro Finishing Machines, we often combine both processes to leverage their respective advantages for problem-solving. Our customers benefit from our flexibility in tailoring processes to their specific needs. Whether it’s surface quality, geometry, or material properties, we develop customized solutions that not only deliver the desired results but also enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. By combining innovative technologies with a deep understanding of our customers' needs, we clearly stand out from the competition.

OTEC emphasizes close collaboration with customers to precisely meet even the most demanding requirements. During the planning phase, requirements are thoroughly analyzed and validated through tests in our in-house Finishing Center. 3. How does the combination of mass finishing and electrofinishing help meet customer needs optimally? Can you provide an example where this flexibility made a decisive difference?
The combination of Mass Finishing and Electro Finishing allows us to integrate both coarse and fine processing into a single workflow. For example, in complex jewelry designs, we use Mass Finishing to remove casting skin or machining marks and prepare the surface for polishing. The subsequent Electro Finishing Process ensures an excellent high-gloss polish, especially in intricate areas, which would be difficult to achieve with Mass Finishing alone. Another example comes from the medical technology sector: for a customer requiring extremely smooth, scratch-free surfaces for implants, we achieved the desired quality and significantly reduced production time by combining both methods—a crucial competitive advantage.

1. How quickly can you respond to new or changing customer requirements, and how does this set you apart from other providers?
Thanks to our flexible structures and short decision-making paths, we can respond very quickly to new requirements. We draw on years of experience and a broad portfolio of established processes, which significantly simplifies and improves the development of solutions for future customer needs. Our development department specializes in adapting proven methods in the shortest time or creating entirely new ones when necessary. This combination of agility and extensive expertise sets us apart from many competitors who often rely on standardized solutions.

2. How do you ensure that your customized process developments remain successful in the long term?
Our processes are not only tailored to current customer needs but are also designed to be future-proof. We achieve this through close collaboration with our customers, analyzing immediate needs while also considering potential future challenges. Regular testing and optimization in the respective field ensure that the developed processes remain reliable even under changing conditions. Additionally, we offer continuous training and support to ensure that our customers can use the processes optimally. This proactive approach strengthens both efficiency and long-term partnerships with our customers.

1. You say, "If one method doesn’t fit, we offer another direction." How important is this solution-oriented approach for your customers, and how is it implemented in practice?
This approach is crucial for our customers as it assures them that we can find a solution for almost any challenge. Instead of isolating a problem within a single department, we promote cross-departmental collaboration. Perspectives from the Finishing Center, service, assembly, and sales come together to form a complete picture of the problem. This approach opens up diverse solution paths and allows us to test and combine various methods until the desired result is achieved. Our customers value this commitment and the persistence with which we tackle even complex tasks.

2. Are there specific industries or applications where your flexibility is particularly appreciated?
Yes, our flexibility is especially valued in the medical technology, aerospace, and automotive industries. These sectors often have stringent requirements for precision and surface quality, which we meet through our customized solutions.

1. OTEC places great emphasis on long-term partnerships. What makes you a reliable partner, and how do you build trust with your customers?
We focus on transparency, quality, and continuous support that extends far beyond the purchase. For OTEC, this means solving customer problems even after delivery and standing by them as a reliable partner. A significant portion of our machines is sold to existing customers, underscoring our consistent customer focus and willingness to go the extra mile.

A standout example is our collaboration with Arthur Farr GmbH from Keltern, one of our longeststanding customers. Together with OTEC, the company has significantly shaped the market for Disc Finishing Machines over the years. Through close cooperation, we have continuously developed new processes—both to optimize existing production and to create forward-looking solutions to remain competitive.

We continuously invest in research and development and stay attuned to market trends to identify emerging requirements. To remain at the forefront, we work closely with universities and research institutions and have also established an internal innovation hub.
