07/21: Precision Right from the start
INTERVIEW WITH MASS FINISHING CONTRACTORS HENSEL & BLANK
Volker Hensel and his former employer experienced a real turning point back in 2003 when they started using OTEC’s CF disc finishing machine, which reduced their valve spring processing times by 96%. Volker and his business partner Horst Blank then opted for OTEC’s technology expertise when they founded their company four years later. Volker Hensel talks to us about what makes his company’s over 20-year partnership with OTEC so special from a per-sonal and business perspective.
07/21: STREAM FINISHING - the green alternative to chemically accelerated processes
Processes in comparison: Processing of highly loades gear wheels for aerospace
Many highly loaded steel gear wheels are produced for use in the aerospace industry that must be ground to an extremely high degree of precision and hardened to levels greater than 60 HRC. The surface of a gear wheel is solid and tough. If it is to function safely and reliably later on, the surface structure must be flaw-less and extremely isotropic, meaning it must be highly uniform in all directions. As well as requiring a roughness of below Ra 0,1 µm, the involute surface must not be wavy or show any grinding grooves. In addition, the edges on the sides and on the tooth head must be evenly rounded.
06/21 recirculation of process water with centrifuge technology in mass finishing
EFFECTIVE EVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND COST REDUCTIONS with OTEC's centrifuge technology
OTEC’s centrifugal water recirculation systems can save over 95% of the costs for fresh water supply and waste water - a significant reduction in costs and environmental impact
05/21: NO MANUAL PROCESSING OR POLISHING BATHS THANKS TO INTELLIGENT INNOVATION!
Smoothing and high-gloss polishing for conventional or additively manufactured dental parts
Perfect surfaces with almost no manual work - The EPAG-Smart, a newly developed compact table-top electropolishing machine, perfectly smooths and polishes your dental parts in just one step. It achieves outstanding finishing results even on complex shapes and in hard-to-reach areas. The EPAG-Smart removes the smallest of scratch marks and waviness in a repeatable process without compromising tolerances or geometries.Find out more from our experts at the OTEC Online-Workshop.
01/21: mass finishing world premiere SF-HP
OTEC's reliable streamfinish takes on larger loads!
OTEC has welcomed its latest addition to the SF Series family. The SF-HP is designed for precision surface finishing of heavy and large workpieces for industries such as aerospace, food, forming tools, machinery construction, energy, oil and gas. For the first time, heavy and large components can now benefit from OTEC’s proven stream finishing technology and expert support during process development.
